Week 8 Progress

I am very happy with my progress. I wasn't expecting to be doing as well especially with all that came with the class, but I have done a great job by staying on top of assignments and getting them done ahead of time to allow for more time for the iggere projects and assignments. I am most proud of the storytelling that I have been able to create each week as I feel I have created great stories throughout the semester and tried to encompass multiple different storylines and themes. I have used a few extra credit options which it is really nice to have those options available to us to allow for flexibility throughout the year. The development of my blog and website have been smooth and outstanding! I am in love with both and I always enjoy when I get the chance to post on one or get feedback on it from other students.
There are probably a couple minor changes that I need to make for the second half of the semester. I have really done well with pacing myself as well as creating a solid blog and website for the course instead of trying to do the bare minimum. I really want to avoid the second half drop off that I sometimes have with getting lazy and not wanting to do work. I don't believe that will happen but if it does I will look back at this post to help tell myself that it isn't okay to be lazy and not get work done.

The image really speaks to the hard work I have put it this semester, but there is still a lot more climbing to do. I am half way there and the next half is going to be the hardest.

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

I think the quality of comments and feedback that I have received is pretty high. It seems everyone has the mentality to help each other make each other's blogs/websites better with in-depth feedback about story's and website design. I really like the WWW comments as it gives me three different comments that lets me know what to continue to do, what to think about and what to improve on. I believe my comments are pretty solid. I believe they could be better in the second half of the semester but overall I believe they have done the job. I love creating the WWW comments I believe they do the best job for people as they really help me so I try to replicate the WWW comments to aid others. I love my blog as it really helps me express how I write and my introduction really helps people get to know me and that is awesome to now others know my name and a little about me even if they have never met me.
For me, I need to go a little more in-depth with my comments on posts. I have been a little lazy when giving detail for others and I hope to adjust and aid others with a lot more detail and analysis in their comments. I have already made some changes based on comments so I'm thankful for the comments that I have received on my stories and posts.

I chose this image because it really incompases my semester this far as I started out really slow and off the pace, but I have ramped up the quality in work and have been able to focus on my classes much more than I have been able to my whole college career.

Week 8 Reading and Writing

The reading and writing with this class has really grown on me over the semester. At the beginning, I saw it as just a lot of work and time to complete assignments, but I immediately realized there was a lot more to the readings and writing I do every week. Every week, I look more and more forward to reading the awesome stories that we receive and looking at each story closely and trying to deciever it is always fun for me. I love the blog. It is really fun to have a platform to be able to publish your writing every week so it is out there for everyone to see. My website is getting there, but every week it gets better looking and organized. The website is exciting for me as it has a lot of potential to become a great website and is slowly on its way to that. I am really excited to see where the rest of the semester takes me as there is so much opportunity to be great and create a great blog and website!

The image above may seem generic but I really love the photo. This picture is from my previous story and I really put a lot of effort into that story to make it a great story in my eyes. It is simple but shows the fun/playful aspect that I want to have with my website as I don't want people to feel like it is a very serious website and stories. I want them to enjoy their time on the blog and have great time reading the story's on the blog.

The future holds a lot for this blog and the corresponding website. It excites a lot that there is so much that could happen in the coming weeks to propel my blog and website to a whole new level. One thing I need to do for my blog and website is pay a little more attention to it as I have been super busy and feel that my website has suffered a tad due to the lack of attention to it. The next 8 weeks will be the difference in staying on the same level or elevating to new levels and creating a fantastic online atmosphere.
